Your Subconscious - Night of Nightmares lyrics

SOMETIMES (SUBCONSCIOUS) LIFE'S A b*tch NIGHTMARE #1 Was in a small cla**room with long tables of teenagers, sitting next to a couple who was bickering. Boy was jealous/suspected the girl of cheating. Girl adamantly denied it. Boy left cla**. Everyone whispered. Teacher demanded focus/respect. Cannot remember the subject being taught, but it was something relatively unimportant to the teenagers. Next day, boy was M.I.A. More whispers, speculation. Teacher again demanded focus/respect. Was looking down at my notebook when I realized everyone had frozen. Palpable fear. Looked up. The boy is there, dressed in black, with a gun. Nobody moves, except me. I bolt for the door, make it, run down the hall, duck into an empty cla**room, hide. But then I feel I have abandoned my cla**mates and almost turn back. Should I not be subjected to the same fate? NIGHTMARE #2 Walking in a desert, reach a ledge. High cliff. Try to stop walking, can't. Fall. Perpetually, feels like. Resets, like Nintendo. Walking in a desert, reach a ledge. High cliff. Try to stop walking, can't. Fall. Perpetually, feels like. Resets, like Nintendo. Walking in a desert, reach a ledge. High cliff. Try to stop walking, can't. Fall. Perpetually, feels like. Resets, like Nintendo. Walking in a desert, reach a ledge. High cliff. Try to stop walking, can't. Fall. Perpetually, feels like. Resets, like Nintendo. Walking in a desert, reach a ledge. High cliff. Try to stop walking, can't. Fall. Perpetually, feels like. Resets, like Nintendo. NIGHTMARE #3 Desolate land. Almost cartoon-ish. Sense of being there, alone, for thousands of years. Only living creatures: stampedes of woolly mammoths that tusk about at irregular times of the day. Suddenly, a white train -- sleek, futuristic, fast. Maybe there are people on it? MAYBE THERE ARE PEOPLE?? But it does not stop. Ever. It incessantly circles, an infinite loop of hope and despair. NIGHTMARE #4 Riding a tricycle on a wide sidewalk. Children also riding, coming from the opposite direction. There are only children. Except one. A man. The back of his head, can't see a face. Also riding a tricycle, but against the children. Must catch him! But he's too fast to catch. Try! Try! Try! Fail, fail, fail. Too many children in the way.
