Yizi_m - Experiment 6 lyrics

Experiment 6 “How to get tired of cafeteria and become a cook” You are from another country and here for college. At first you like everything you can grab in a cafeteria. They are all new to you. “Oh my god! It is damn good!” as you chewing a piece of cheese pizza. Eating up all the stuff in your plate, you stand up and started another round. *** The next day, you come to the cafeteria again. You rushed to the pizza because you like it most. “There are so many others, I should try something new”. You change your mind as you are waiting in a line to pick the pizza and when it is almost your turn. You quite the line, go to another window. *** You go to shops, buy a bottle of milk and a box of cereal. Like the way you learned from the natives how they have their breakfast. After breakfast, you go to the cafeteria again and grab an apple or an orange before going to the cla**room. *** For a few weeks, you almost tried everything available in that cafeteria. You realized there are some routine dishes only available in certain days of a week, and you like some of them. So you waited for Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. *** It looks awesome to mix banana and chocolate sauce. Then you buy some bananas and randomly chose a brand of chocolate sauce. You anxiously and excitedly started your “experiment” the following morning. Cutting the banana into bites, and applied chocolate sauce. “Hmm, Yummy!” *** More than half a year, the pizza is not your favorite anymore, and you no longer wait for Wednesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. *** You go to the market, buy a bowl and a box of instant noodle. Back to your dorm, you adeptly open a bag of instant noodle, put it in your bowl, dump the seasoning, put your bowl in the microwave machine, set it at 2 minutes, and wait. *** You are invited by your friends who come from the same country as you. Your friend treated you with some homemade food with the flavor of hometown. You almost cry as you are eating. *** When you have to go to the cafeteria again to have a meal, you circle around and around, barely put nothing in your plate. “GROWL~~~”. You are hungry. But you don't want to eat anything more from here. You are sooooo tired of everything here. Out of choice, you grabbed a plate of yogurt. *** You finally moved off campus, you are so happy that you can cook on your own. You go to Walmart. You almost buy a whole set of kitchenware. Excitedly, you opened the stove before you realized your carrot is not cut yet. Then you turn off the stove. Begin to wash and cut the carrot. “Meat!” you noticed! Then you started to cut some pork into bitable pieces. You opened the stove again. Drop some vegetable oil in the pan. You reach your hand above the pan, and feel the temperature of the oil, trying to mimic the way your mom does it. When you feel it is warmed up, you put the pork in, after stir-frying it a while, you put your carrot in. *** You dump everything in a plate and tasted. You realize you did not put any salt in it. And you remember to add some next time.
