So the song that I'm most pa**ionate about of the entire season has got to be "Dem Cakes Tho." I probably have said that about a lot of other songs, but the thing in life that I am most pa**ionate about is a good pair of booty cheeks. Nothing makes me happier and there's nothing in the world I think I'd rather sing about. And so I had been thinking about this song for a while. It was one of my favorite hashtags to search on Instagram for many reasons and I decided since so many thousands of people are hashtagging this and searching it everyday, there must be a need for a song with this title. And so I wrote this song thinking about all the bootylicious people in the world—I mean, Kim K, Amber Rose, Aubrey O'Day, Gabourey Sidibe—everyone that has a big booty in the world; this song was written with them in mind. I had my Chris Brown flair on that day when I was writing this. I was like "How would Chris Brown sing this song?" It was just one of those days where everything just came together just at the right moment. I was feeling hilarious that day so all of the lyrics are just a little bit crazy; something that Nicki Minaj herself would be writing and singing about. It was just really fun to do this and also to get to do the choreography to this because I'm not really that much of a twerker, but I looked at a lot of t**ng videos, got a lot of inspiration—it was a *great* night—and I came up with dope choreography to this song. And every time I feel like being just a little bit ratchet I put on "Dem Cakes Tho" 'cause that's what this song is all about: being ratchet and appreciating the bu*tocks. Thank you.
