Tearra Brownlee - Creation essay lyrics

The genesis and Greek creation stories are both similar and different in how they use literary archetypes. Both Greek and Genesis creation stories entitle the villain archetype, “Cronus swallowed all of his children as they were born”. This proves that Cronus is filling the role of villain archetype because he swallows his children. His lust for power is so great that he's willing to k** his children to keep throne. (Greek) The serpent went straight to eve because he knew he could get through to her better than he could with Adam. Everybody says the women are a man's worst downfall. God told Adam and eve not to eat from the tree but she was persuaded by the serpent that it was ok. These examples both show both stories using the villain archetype. The Greek and genesis creation stories also contrast with the form of having an epic battle or father/son and the garden archetype. “Cronus grabbed his father and castrated him”. He k**ed his father because all he cared about was his power and they wanted to take it away. He set up a plan to k** his father to get take that power. (Greek) “God made all the trees grow from the ground, trees beautiful to look at and good to eat.” The trees were beautiful and calm. They set a type of calm and peaceful mood. The genesis uses garden archetype, and Greek uses father son rivalry.
