Ramiro lopez - Creation Essay lyrics

The Genesis and Greek creation stories are both similar and different in how they use literary archetypes. Both the Genesis and Greek creation story utilize the villain archetype. The Greek creations story states, "Cronus swallowed each of his children as they were born." This proves Cronus is filling the villain archetype. His lust for power is so great that he selfishly sacrifices his own children to keep the throne. In the Genesis creation story, "Cain has words with his brother. They when out to the field were Cain k**s his brother Able.” This shows Cain filling the villain archetype. His hot temper went to his head and resulting in the d**h of his own brother. This proves that both stories use the villain archetype. The Greek and Genesis creation stories also contrast the epic battle and the garden archetype. In the Greek creation story, “Atlas became their leader in battle and it looked for some time as though they would put the young gods down.” This shows the war between gods and titans filling the epic battle archetype. This battle would determent who will rule the havens and earth. As appose to Genesis creation story, “The lord made all kinds of trees grown out from the ground-trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for eat.” By describing the Garden of Eden this shows the garden archetype. To the soft soil and green gra**, to the vast trees and the lushes fruit, the garden of Eden is a true paradise. This proves that the Greek and Genesis story are very different but yet alike.
