Naome yeteshawork - Creation Ea**y lyrics

The Genesis and Greek creation stories are both similar and different in how they use literary archetypes. Both the Greek and genesis creation stories utilize the villain archetype. Because Cronus was afraid that one of his will controls over him, “Cronus swallowed each of his children as they were born.”(Greek Myth) This proves that Cronus is filling the role of the villain archetype. His lust for power is great that he selfishly sacrifices his own children to keep the throne. On the other side Cain was angry that his brother offers for god will get accepted so, “Cain, had words with his brother, they were out in the field, Cain came at Abel his brother and k**ed him.” (Genesis creation story) Cain wanted to be better than his brother so he k**ed his brother. And it is evil to do that for your own brother. These examples show both stories using the villain archetype. The Greek and genesis creation stories also contrast, with the former having an epic battle or father/son and the latter a garden archetype. God spoke: “Earth, green up! Grow all varieties of seed-bearing plants, every sort of fruit-bearing tree.”(Genesis creation story) It is whole new light and reawakens an awareness of the wonders of Nature. And it is like heavenly with all the fruits and varieties god gave it to us. “Cronus grabbed his father and castrated him, with the stone sickle, throwing the severed genitals into the ocean. The fate of Uran*s is not clear.”(Greek myth) Cronus fought with father because his was not a good father and did a lot of bad things. His father was really angry because he didn't want to have child that is better than him. So this paragraph contrasts the Greek and Genesis story archetype by giving some examples.
