Mireya alvarado - Epic Hero monomyth Essay lyrics

The epic hero monomyth is a 12 step cycle that refers to characters who are in a dangerous or difficulty position of weakness, but display courage and/or the will for self-sacrifice as the result. The hero monomyth is a very virtuous concept for others to learn. Luke Sky walker started off as someone young, naïve but also a very normal teenager. Like anyone his age he was very lazy. He complained every time he was given a task. Right when his departure began, he had many doubts about going on his adventure, Even though he wanted some action in his life. He faces a huge crisis having his own master k**ed right in front of him. That helped him though, develop more confidence and knowing obi would've wanted him to keep going with the mission. After completion of the mission Luke and his friends marched as to the front to be rewarded by Leah. Everyone was clapping and cheering for them and at his side was his new family, new life. Towards the end you see dramatic difference. Maturity hit him, because of all the obstacles he overcame. He learned responsibility was not such bad thing. I was intrigued by my character, mister right from the start. Mister was about 12 but went through so much in his short life time. It started off having the worst attitude talking back everyone. It had to be understood. He lived in a house home with just a mother who was a drug dealer even before he was born. There were even days where he went without eating, that was a pretty normal thing for him. One afternoon when he came back from school he found his mother's drug dealer friend's kid in his room; Pete. He was extremely upset. That's when his adventure started, he just didn't know yet. Mister was older than Pete. But neither of them knew they would end up only having each other to rely on. After having mister's mom, the only adult, put in prison. Pretty soon they ran out of food and electricity. They went from having help from an old friend who eventually just left one day, to robbing a convenient store and other apartments. His greatest fear came true after a while. Mister went out one afternoon and Pete stayed sick in the small apartment. While walking out mister realized Pete currently was being chased by the local police. Mister escaped but knew where Pete would be sent to the only place he hated more than his own home, a shelter for homeless kids. He dreaded that place even though he had never been there. Mister felt defeated and completely alone. A few days later he hit a bigger crisis, he got caught. They directed him to the shelter. He was destroyed, he feared that place. When he got there he gasped in recognition of his fundamentally brother. Pete was doing much better than when he was found. Mister made sure no one bothered Pete, he protected him and gave him, a few tips. Mister had improved from the beginning, as he had been the one treating Pete bad. After a while mister did realize he was wrong, it hadn't been as bad as he thought. Later one evening his mom showed up, begging for forgiveness and rea**ure him she had been sober for a while, got her life together, that's why she didn't go find him after they released her from jail and wanted him back. Mister couldn't help but forgive his mother and go back with her. About a month pa**ed and mister returned to school. He wasn't a disrespectful, young, naïve, and unaccompanied boy anymore, he was the complete opposite now. I feel as if Mister was a bigger hero than Luke. Luke didn't go through as much as Mister. Mister had more fear, obstacles, and took care of someone younger than him when he was just a boy himself. Luke also overcame plenty of obstacles, but misters were real life rare situations for a boy his age. Also Mister never lived a completely normal, he was never sent to do easy task, for example clean robots or clean in general and Luke had people who loved and cared for him like his uncle, mentor, and his friends. Therefore the epic hero monomyth is still a very important concept. Appearing in many popular shows, and movies that everyone watches. For example star wars, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete. Providing a good role model for people to follow and learn from today.
