Knero: Ozonna Oz: Ozonna Knero: Nice to meet you brother! How you been? Oz: I'm good, good and you? Knero: I'm good, I'm good. So we know that you're an African artist but you're based in London. Right? Oz: Well I been based in London for the past 7 years, then moved here Knero: So now you in the states Oz: Yeah, New York, New York Knero: What brought you to the states? Oz: Everything, everything brought me to the states Knero: The limelight, buildings (Diddy voice) Knero: You have a unique sssound. Your style of music is different from the mainstream media of music Knero: So what you have in mind, like... Knero: If you could pick a language what language would it be for you to sing? Oz: Well I, since I was a kid I always wanted to like write a French song. Just cause I like the sound of the language But I just can't speak French, so it's never worked out Knero: What artist would you be eh? interested in working with? Or say that you like that's in the music business? Oz: Right now? Yeah, cause I wouldn't say any artist I really want to work w/ particularly but I'd say Kevin Gates Yeah, that's an artist...I really like his album right now. That's pretty much it Knero: And why is that? Oz: Just dig it. It's cool...It's rad...Yeah! Knero: I see you have a certain type of fashionable style. What era would you go back to if you could pick a time? Oz: I wouldn't.. Knero: You wouldn't go back? Oz: Keep going forward. Yeah! Knero: Okay. So, at what point in your career that you knew this was a calling for you. That you knew there was no turning back after this Oz: Well I've always really wanted, known that I wanted to be like an artistic person, like do something in the arts, since I was really young. First I wanted to be an actor, then I wanted to...like lots of different things, but all to do with music, well with art Then when I was about eleven, then I kinda decided that I really wanted to do music, well it was when I was in boarding school and then there was this kid who made music, like he made beats and stuff. We decided to work on music and I just thought I wanna do this forever Then I started recording Knero: Still going to hold onto that acting? Ozonna: Huh? Maybe, couple of years down the line but I'm not as pa**ionate about it as I was Knero: If you could bring 3 things to a deserted island, what would it be? Ozonna: Probably, my duvet, some Haribos and some weed? :pauses: Knero: If you had a million dollars in cash how would you spend it? Ozonna: um, On my career I guess? Knero: Hmmm, give me more examples. Like, give us details Ozonna: I'll get like a SICK a** music video, costs like 200,000 or something and spend the rest on like a house or a car. I dunno, whatever... Knero: If you could eh base a movie that you have seen that you could relate it to your life Ozonna: "Oz The Great and Powerful!" :room breaks out in laughter: Knero: :claps: Now that's freaking comedy! Knero: What would be your dream tour and your dream artist to work with? Ozonna: I think I'd really wanna work with "Marina and the Diamonds." I think I really like to work with her Knero: Why's that? Ozonna: Cause she's incredible! I feel like her melodies and just the way she started up and everything. I feel like she's inspired me quite a bit along the years and I like her melodies Knero: Your favorite mobile app? Oz: It would be "Music Monsters" because my song "I Love Me" is featured on there Knero: What's your favorite word? Oz: I just realized that I write "baby" quite a lot throughout a lot my songs. So I think maybe baby, it's not my favorite but I just find myself writing it a lot in my songs Knero: What could you give any aspiring artists that's trying to follow your shoes, an advice, that they can take with them through their career and journeys of life Oz: There's no one road to get into this industry so just keep working do whatever you want, do whatever you can to get in but my way is not your way. Your way is not...never the same Final: This is a shout out to Efficacy and Fiona Bloom, cheers for watching...
