These shows we watch today in time are stereotypes. Have you ever thought about the shows you watch today in times being stereotypes? Most you guys never notice and think its hilarious. When we watch the shows we are entertaining them and allowing them to continue.These shows need to stop and we need to prove the bad things everyone thinks about us wrong. The mammy was crafted to make it seem as if colored females liked being enslaved. Whites made it seem like being enslaved is no problem for most colored people.”. .loving. . .mammys contributes to the. . .peace”. The mammy that was crafted is shown in modern movies today. For example, in Madeas Family Reunion, Madea is made to look like a big colored women who takes care of many people like a mammy. Whites wants others to believe blacks are made for certain jobs. Coons were crafted to make unemployed colored people be seen as savages. Coons were known to be sneaky and “would steal. . . crops”. Today modern movies make colored people look like savages and coons. For example, the movie Dog Pound makes it seem as if colored people only steal, fight, and or commit crimes. The Uncle Tom was crafted to make it seem as if colored people themselves didnt like their own kind and race.Uncle Toms helped the whites capture the blacks their own kind.Blacks would “sell out their race to resemble another to get ahead”.Things almost like and similar happen today in modern day when it comes to saving your own life for your own sake you snitch on another person. Today in time just like the past television shows show stereotypes making fun of colored people and or making them seem bad as a race.These stereotypes should not be continued or entertained because they are not true.We can prove them wrong and stop this.
