K3N SILS - HOW EACH SONG CAME UP AND MADE THE MIXTAPE lyrics

After a one year break from the music industry K3N SILS brings to your attention Real Life Da' Mixtape vol 2, also known as RLDM2. "My absence from the music scene didn't mean i had to quit doing music ministry,i left the music scene for a purpose? and that was to hone my craft, get poured into, have more time with my God and just reflect on many other issues" say's K3N SILS. RLDM2 is composed of 8 tracks, featuring the likes of Da L.A.W, BMT, Yanike 103, Mzingo and Hosted by Gabby GP. Theme Scripture: Colossians 3:3 Ok lets now get into HOW EACH SONG CAME UP AND MADE THE MIXTAPE 1.Lil' Problem (Prod by 4th Profile Studio) Written by Kennedy Silungwe Lil' Problem is actually a slan word which which means little. The song depicts a true image of how i used to live my life and how i would categorise sin as one being greater than the other. For me being an addict of p**n and masterbution i thought it was something small cause my friends would take d**, use women and what not, something i never did myself. So i was kinda' perfect in some way. The song takes on the approach of one having to struggle with the problem of liquor. I knew i had a problem but i took it as a little one not knowing deep inside it was breaking me. So yeah, thats how it came about. Luke 18:9-14 2.I Am But Just A Sinner (IABJAS) ft Mzingo & Da L.A.W (Prod by 4th Profile Studio) Written by Kennedy Silungwe & Obey Sinfukwe I and co-writer Da L.A.W, wrote this song when i was going through a lot of contemplating, a lot of set backs in things i was doing and planing to do and things just started falling apart. Nothing was going according to my plans so i got frustrated. I thought God was punishing me for my sins and he wanted me to pay for them fully. I decided to step back and allowed God to take the lead role. On this song i acknowledge that i am but just a sinner in need of Gods Grace. Everybody needs salvation and the process to attain it has nothing to do with our righteousness, what we have or what we have to give. We are all saved by Grace through faith. Furthermore, the process starts at the point when an individual acknowledges their short coming. With such a heavy message accompaning the song it was fit for this song to add up flesh to the project. PSALM 32:5 3.Idols (Prod by InsighTMuziK & 4th Profile Studio) Written by Kennedy Silungwe An idol can be anything and in any form. It is not just images made from clay, wood, silver, gold or whatever imaginary object one can have. It can be a video game, celebraty, actor or actress or even a movie. Anything you put in your maximum attention can graduate to being your idol. Unknowingly for me p**n was an idol that was almost going to take the place of God in my life, untill the song move on opened up my eyes and man i realised it before it was to late that i was walking in the wrong path. Matter of fact any idol today started off as a joke or an imagination or something you and i thought it was just something we love very much. The first symptom of one idolising something or someone is addiction. It starts off by getting addicted to something or some person out there then graduates to being an Idol in turn substitutes Gods role in your life. Idols made it in the mixtape because of the motive behind the whole song.God told me to burn down my idols and worship him instead for this reason he made you and me that we may worship him day and night. Will you burn down yours and follow him today? Exodus 20:1-5a 4.Move On (Prod by 4th Profile Studio) Written by Kennedy Silungwe Move on is the song i wrote when i was going through a rough time and felt i like being Christian was still holding on to the past and all those addictions were still a part me. So when the concept of the song came in i was filled with guilt and felt undeserving of God's Grace. Suddenly my knees hit the ground face down and told my God i know you are real so please help me move on. Just that day my whole perspective changed and began to see things in a more different and complex way. Every song on the project is deliberately put out to exemplify my story and move on is a part it. Isaiah 42:8-9,43:18-19 5.Journey Of My Life (JOML) (Prod by InsighTMuziK & 4th Profile Studio) Written by Kennedy Silungwe Journey of my life abbreviated as (JOML) is a follow up to move on. JOML literally came about when i was making a random beat and the Spirit of the Lord just came upon and told me to illustrate where i have been, where i am now and where the Lord is taking me. "They say journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step". That wasn't a case for me! Mine tolk off with a single sentence. "Lord i know i am a sinner, can you please forgive me" just this 12 worded sentence marked the beginning of a new journey. Romans 10:9-11, 2 Corinthians 5:17 6.Sowing Seed (Prod by InsighTMuziK & 4th Profile Studio) Kennedy Silungwe Sowing seed is an evangelical song that is orignated from the biblical pa**age in Matthew where Jesus commands us to go out in the world to preach the Gospel and make Deciples of all nations baptising them in the name of the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. The short summary is "Sowing Seed". The title of the song is derived from Matthew 28:19. My whole life has been dedicated to sharing Christ with the world and sowing seed is just that snippet of what the Lord has in store. 7.Bwela Kuli Yesu(Come To Christ) ft BMT (Prod by 4th Profile Studio) Written by Kennedy Silungwe & Blessings Tembo This is an invitation alter call song to those who do not yet have a relationship with God, those who have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior, those who feel behond redemption and out of Gods reach. The song carries a rich message that speaks direct to the listener and encourages every person that God accepts whoever comes to him no matter the situation. I wrote this song with the help of BMT, to personally invite non believers/unconverts to come and experience the fullness of life in Christ Jesus. Luke 15:18, 2 Corinthians 6:2 8.Isaiah 53 ft Yanike 103 (Prod by Platinumstarz & 4th Profile Studio) Written by Kennedy Silungwe Just going through the whole scripture i find myself shading tears, beating myself, counting myself worthless to receive Gods mercy. After all i am the reason he took on the Cross with three steel nails in his flesh. Paid the ransom and cleared off the debt of sin. Redemeed and reconciled us to God the Father. Reflecting on this scripture just shows how GREAT is our GOD and how that He is the reason i made RLDM2. Thank you all for reading through may God bless you and sustain you as you live and labour in his field.
