SCORE Luke Skywalker does a great job in fulfilling the Epic Hero Monomyth. Luke first goes through “status quo” which he was just a normal teenager in the planet Tatooine. He was just there dusting crops at his Uncle's (Obi-Wan Kenobi) Plantation and he thought he'd never leave because he worked there all of his life. Another step he fulfills is “crisis” which he sees Obi-Wan Kenobi die in front of him. He becomes depressed and is discouraged to continue his quest. He then goes through the “resolution” step in which he destroys d**h Star and gets a victory! He later wins a medal from the victory. Anakin Skywalker is a great example of a hero because he also fulfills the Epic Hero Monomyth. He first goes through “status quo” in which he's just a slave living with his mother and Jar Jar Binks. He's living in the planet Tatooine. He's just a 10 year old boy not knowing where he going to end up. Anakin Skywalker then goes through the “call to adventure” step in which he was found by a jedi Knight Qui Gon- jinn. Qui Gon-jinn saw potential in Anakin that he because he has a good star pilot and had a good use of the force. He was known as the “chosen one”. Anakin then goes through “crisis” which he finds out that she is enslaved by the sand people and he arrives to try to save his mother but she was in critical condition and she then dies in his arms. He then becomes raged by the d**h of his mother and k**s the sand people and even woman and younglings. He then goes through the “new life” step in which he was seduced by the dark side of the force. He faces Obi-Wan and gets his legs cut off because Obi Wan had the high ground. He then gets burned by the heat of the lava. He becomes disabled and in critical condition. He's then rescued by Darth Sidious. They take Anakin in the medical room and starts to prepare his famous suit known as the “Darth Vader suit” he begins his journey from the sith known as Darth Vader. I believe that Luke Skywalker makes the better role model because no matter what he went through he still kept on going no matter what. He was seduced by the dark side of the force just like his father but he did not join them. Luke always stayed with one another.
