The Fully DownOriginally formed in suburban Ottawa in 1999, Canadian rockers the Fully Down spent their early years together mostly honing their musical sk**s at practice sessions instead of playing the usual plethora of shows around town. As they saw the smoke clear after some lineup changes in 2003, the bandmembers found themselves left with three guitarists in the mix. Instead of kicking someone out, the Fully Down embraced the extra six-strings to give their punk-rooted music an even fuller sound. With influences running from Iron Maiden to Strung Out to the Police, the group was comprised of vocalist Gab Bouchard, drummer Dicky Latour, ba**ist Alex Newman, and guitarists George Hadji, Kris Parks, and Dan Hay. Having then played a handful of shows, the s**tet debuted in June 2004 on local indie Pop Culture with No Fate...But What We Make for Ourselves. The album garnered favorable reviews, and they hit the road hard, including three weeks spent on the 2004 Warped Tour. The Fully Down signed to Fearless Records in August 2005; their label debut, Don't Get Lost in a Movement, appeared that November. Touring continued before the band headed out the following spring with Boy Sets Fire and Versus the Mirror; summer 2006 was spent back on the annual Warped Tour. ~ Corey Apar, All Music Guide
