[Begin music: "Emotions"] [Scene opens outside the ruins of Lahan. Fei walks south from Lahan and enters Blackmoon Forest. Stop music. Scene change.] ----- [Scene opens inside the forest. Fei has gone a few steps when the birds are disturbed and fly away, spookily, as the music begins suddenly.] [Begin music: "Forest of the Black Moon"] [Fei walks a while through the forest, leaping to higher ground, and avoiding a rolling boulder. He proceeds to the south end of the northern forest (if that makes sense :P), when he is suddenly stopped.] [Stop music.] FMV 05: A Chance Encounter [A female voice stops Fei in his tracks from behind him, surprising him.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Ana haus!" [He turns around to see a young, auburn-haired girl with deep blue eyes, about the same age as him. She speaks in some unknown language for a couple seconds, an air of hostility surrounding her as she has a pistol pointed at Fei.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Kah te nye? Ta, tah dyne tuna ahk va! Dah noul raun tak. Rahna koute! Uh..." [Fei looks puzzlingly at her, he has no clue what she is saying. After a few sentences, she stops, looking a bit puzzled, then shakes her head as if ridding herself of a head itch. She then resumes her air of hostility, but speaks in a language that Fei (and us) can understand.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Throw down your weapon. Make one wrong move and I'll shoot." [----END FMV 05----] [The mysterious woman is on a cliff a little higher than Fei, with her pistol pointed directly at him.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Errh... Turn around!" FEI "..." MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "I said... turn around!" [Scene cut to side view of log bridge. Fei turns around and the woman approaches him slowly from behind, pistol pointed at his head. She moves much slower as she gets closer to him.] FEI "... Are you shaking?" MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Be quiet!" [The woman pauses for just a second, a**essing Fei.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "... You don't seem to be one of the Kislev soldiers who are after me... but..." [The woman backs off Fei a bit, and he turns around. When he does, she backs up quickly, her pistol still trained on him.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Don't move!" [The woman recomposes herself.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "I have orders to k** all surface dwellers, -Lambs-, I come in contact with... It's part of my mission. It's nothing personal." [The woman pauses a second, again.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "I have a question for you. ... How do I get out of this forest?" FEI "Are you... lost?" MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Just answer my question! How do I get out of here?" FEI "Sorry... but I'm looking for the way out of here too." MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Oh..." [The woman puts the pistol away, and looks dejectedly at the floor.] FEI "How long are you just going to stand there like that? If you're going to shoot me, then hurry up and do it." [The woman looks up at Fei.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "What an odd thing to say! Don't you understand the situation you are in?" [Fei looks down at the floor, and his countenance changes to one of deep depression.] FEI "I don't care about my situation... I'm just a guy whose life is worthless... There's no point in me living anyway!" [Fei takes a step towards the woman.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Sta, stay back!" [Scene cut to directly over the two. The woman retrains the gun on Fei. Fei takes another slow step, and the woman fires a shot but it doesn't hit him or anywhere close to him.] FEI "What are you aiming at? Here! Shoot me here! C'mon..." MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Are... are you mocking me?" [Scene cut to opposite side view. The woman shakes her head. She backs up a step.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "You're weird!" [She backs up another step.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Something's very wrong with you!" [Without a pause, she continues wondering out loud.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "You should at least resist a little bit!" [Camera pans from above the woman and then suddenly drops behind her. Camera angle changes to the side as a blue-colored monkey-like monster lands directly behind the woman. She turns around and sees it.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "What's this? Who are you?" [The monkey takes a swing at the woman, knocking her out. Fei, brooding in depression, now looks up and realizes the monkey for the first time.] FEI ! [Fei yells blindly.] FEI "Stop! Keep your hands off of 'Elly'!" [Fei rushes into battle.] [Battle: Fei vs. Forest Elf x2] [Fei is kneeling over the unconscious woman.] FEI "Are you alright!? Hang in there!" [Scene fade.] ----- [Scene opens on Fei sitting on a log in front of a campfire. The woman is propped up against a tree and appears to have regained consciousness.] FEI "Good, you finally woke up! You didn't move for so long that I started to worry..." MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "..." FEI "How are you feeling?" MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "..." FEI "Do you still intend to k** me? Then go right ahead and shoot me! But you'd better not do it while we're in this forest. Forest monsters hate loud noises, you know!?" MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "..." FEI "Fine. Don't talk to me if you don't want to... But it wouldn't k** you to thank me for tending your wounds." MYSTERIOUS WOMAN ! [The woman startles.] MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Th... thanks... but you shouldn't have helped me. Don't think it will save your life though. It really doesn't change a thing." FEI "What are you so afraid of?" MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "I'm not afraid... I'm just being cautious. It's natural for me to be this cautious considering I've met such a suspicious surface dwelling -Lamb-." FEI "Hm... Don't you worry. I'm not gonna do anything. Besides you're much more suspicious than I am." MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "Huh...?" FEI "So, what's your name?" MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "I won't give my name to a surface dweller -Lamb-." FEI "What's with you and this 'Lamb' thing? We're both lost in this forest, surrounded by dangerous monsters... Shouldn't we at least be cooperating with each other until we get out of here?" MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "..." FEI "Good. So what's your name? It's going to be hard for us to cooperate with one another without at least knowing each other's names. Anyway, my name is Fei Fong Wong. You can call me Fei." MYSTERIOUS WOMAN "I'm...Elhaym. But my parents call me Elly." FEI "'Elly', huh? Somehow I already 'knew' that." ELLY ?? FEI "Anyway, it's too dangerous to travel in these parts this late at night... Let's wait till daybreak before we continue looking for a way out of here... If that's okay with you?" ELLY "I guess we have no choice, do we?" FEI "Okay then Elly... How about having something to eat." [Camera flies up to the treetops. Scene fade.]
