Rose Falcon is the daughter of singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer Billy Falcon and his wife Myla Falcon. Her early years were spent in a studio apartment in New York City, though the family moved to New Jersey when she was old enough to attend school. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer in 1987 and died two years later, after which she was raised by her father, with whom she traveled around the country as part of his music career. (They eventually settled in Nashville). Billy Falcon encouraged his daughter to sing, and when she asked, he began to collaborate with her on her songwriting. She was signed by Columbia Records, and released her debut album, Rose Falcon, in March 2003 when she was 19. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide
