Rachel-a - Experiment 1 lyrics

Feet dangling of the dock in the cool water, Reagan gulped the rest of the vodka and lemonade remaining in her yellow plastic cup. She couldn't remember how much she drank as she sat on the wood looking into the sunset. At that time nothing in the world mattered to Reagan. She sat there surrounded by million dollar lake houses but felt nothing, she was numb. She thought hard about losing her best friend Hannah. Hannah wasn't dead, she just moved 1,384 miles away, but her dog was dead. Reagan stumbled off the dock into the sand eventually making it to the white stoned lake house. She stood there looking into the sliding gla** doors watching Eli play his PlayStation Four on the 88-inch flat screen. Reagan and Eli met in high school; he was her first for a lot of things. He took Reagan to her first party, got her high for the first time, and took her virginity. Every time he would tell her, “It's okay baby I love you, I won't let you get hurt.” Eli caught Reagan peeking through the gla** door, and she came inside. Reagan sat down on the brown leather couch. Eli kissed her cheek. “Do you want me to make you something for dinner,” Eli asked. “I'm not hungry, but I'll take another drink.” Reagan replied. Reagan does not love Eli the way she did before he left. She no longer wanted to spend her days with him. Instead she would rather spend them alone or working. Reagan didn't speak much. Reagan was a junior, Eli a senior, when she thought he was going to be the man she was going to marry. Eli had called, “I am picking you up for dinner, I am hungry and I have surprise for you.” “Let me shower and get dressed, but you know I don't like surprised,” Reagan Replied. “You will like this surprise baby, I promise. I'll pick you up at 7:00.” Eli pulled out a turquoise box “open it.” Reagan untied the bow and opened the box, which read will you go to prom with me? And a Tiffany's necklace with a turquoise heart lay underneath the note. Reagan sat on the brown leather couch waiting for the drink she knows she shouldn't have, but does anyways. The more she drinks the more she thinks about Hannah. About a week into college Reagan and Hannah instantly became best friends when they met at a football game. Reagan was always awkward when she first met someone, but it was different with Hannah as if she had known her since she was five. Hannah said, “Let's go grab some food, I'm hungry.” “Alright. I'm down. I know a shortcut through this neighborhood, we can walk,” Reagan replied. Hannah moved away a year later. Reagan broke Eli's heart because she couldn't handle not seeing him everyday when he went away for college. She lost her senses of what it felt like to be living on earth. Abandoned, all alone after watching her dog take its last breath. She had to many goodbyes that happened in less than a year. Reagan shortly pa**ed out on the couch, her last thoughts were memories before she ever imagined saying goodbye.
