Qaiser Ali Khan - A Dramatic Fragment lyrics

Soothsayer: Times are worst, ravens are in the air. Owls screech in daylight and stars hide in the blanket of the dark. The lamp of night has waned before its appointed circle and Apollo has lost its luster in the midst of murky days. Evil times call forth ominous portents. Thou must keep inside for Hades hath unleashed his villainy upon the surface of earth. Queen: Thou canst fool the Tycho of the Kingdom of Neverland with thy mad babbling grey beard. Godly faces have of late lost credulity for their lunatic foretelling. No maiden has bled of yore nor has any untoward happening distempered my solace. Take him to the dungeons and let him starved till his soul leave this filthy cage . (A fortnight later) Beggar: terrible terrible....apocalypse apocalypse Queen: What say you? speak truth. Beggar: My Queen apocalypse is upon us..behold pretty faces of young maidens, they vomit blood...we are at the edge of doom. Queen: Off you go, lunatic mendicant. If it be so, how come I stand here and rule my sway.?.....oh..oh.......my heart!! Beggar: Hark...the Queen… the Queen...she falls...blood gushes from her mouth ...her heart bleeds ...Oh…. (Queen vomits blood, gasps, and dies) Beggar: What beauty hath not done, bled herself and k**ed anon. Qaiser Ali Khan 23-11-2014
