Mary Shelley - Even When I am Lost Far at Sea lyrics

This is a project that I made for my British Literature cla**. I am not perfect, but here is my letter from the monster in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. :) Even When I am Lost Far at Sea Opening my eyes into a new world, Moving my limbs and making my fingers and hands curled. The bright sunlight shining bright, Making me see a brand new sight. Breathing in my first breath of air, My hands running through my thick, dark hair. Getting up and looking around, Not hearing a single sound. Taking time to feel my way, Seeing a room of black and gray. One small window on the wall, The most interesting decoration of all. Standing up to stretch my long legs, Making them feel like long wooden pegs. Seeing my reflection through the lighted gla**, Just seeing a large distorted ma**. The figure being myself, Looking like a larger version of an elf. With pale yellow skin showing my blue veins, Makes my eyes water and strain. I look hideous, but in a beautiful way. Seeing my creator for the first time, His eyes looking like he just committed a crime. Immediately regretting his decision, Beginning to create a division. Fearful of myself being seen, He built up an imaginary screen. He avoided me with every ounce of his strength, Just making our relationship go a greater length. Not caring about introducing me to his life, Cutting my heart with a knife. Being lost and all alone, Nowhere to call my actual home. Trying to figure out this complicated world, My head and mind swirled. Not knowing what my next step was, Portraying Victor's greatest flaws. Taking my anger out on him, Made me look even more grim. Crying, punching, and kicking with frustration, Wishing I had a different foundation. k**ing his friends and loved ones, Taking them out one by one like bullets from handguns. Wanting someone to love me, Wishing Victor to have had to foresee, His creation not fully perfect, Not making my soul feel wrecked. Teaching me his ways, Oh I hope and pray, That I will find someone one day to help me, Even when I am lost far at sea….
