The wind tears the leaves from the trees, swirling the tatter'd and faded remnants of summer's once bright weaves. Gray shrouded skies set somber mood. Thoughts of endings and failures seem to fit as Autumn mind's food. Wind swirls and sighs through the branches, their strip'd limbs rhythmic'ly clatter and click to thought-numbing trances. Rain shatters upon the window, drib'ling cold, stark images through my mind; the whirl of failed plans flow. Endings are also beginnings and dormancy can help clear clutter'd thoughts, the rest builds new dreaming's. Out in the storm little sparrows splash and frolic in masonry held baths. Do they plan tomorrow's? The rain washes the outside clean, while thoughtful reconsideration's tend to the mind sweeping theme. Now let the winds also blow through the mind's drop'd leaves of failed spring budding plans, endings begin anew.
