Jaclynn_m - Experiment 4 lyrics

He came home from work not in a good mood. Things at work didn't go very well and he had a huge presentation to give tomorrow. He opened the door to his apartment and the faint smell of something that may have expired filled the air. He took one look around and couldn't believe his eyes. Blankets were thrown everywhere, pillows were on top of the blankets, dirty dishes left on the table, TV still on, and dishes and pans piled everywhere. He knew this was a mistake. Letting his best friend move in with him during this phase of his life was very well the biggest mistake he had made. His best friend just lost his job, and just lost his girl. He was pretty much useless at this point. But being the good friend that he is, he decided to let him stay until he got back on his feet. Ryan was nowhere to be found. Music blared from his bedroom as well as the TV that was still left on in the living room. He picked up the dirty dishes one by one, the empty beer cans, and the package of half eaten cookies. He started rummaging through the pantry making a grocery list. He knew Ryan had probably eaten all of his food already. There's not much to do during the day when you don't have a job, except eat, sleep, and watch TV. He did the rest of the dishes, straightened up the living room, ate dinner and then decided it was time for bed. He had a very long day after all. The next day, he came home feeling a little better about life, but still had his downs, but a little more ups today than yesterday. He walked in the door to his apartment and the faint smell of flowers filled the air. He took a look around his apartment and couldn't believe his eyes once again. But this time, it was spectacular. He had never ever seen his apartment this clean before. Blankets were folded nicely, the carpet was just vacuumed, the dishes were all cleaned and put away, and everything was perfect. It smelled like the place had just been cleaned from top to bottom. He could even smell the new candle his mom had recently bought him. “Someone must've done something bad, huh,” he thought to himself. Why else would his roommate or anyone else for that matter, clean his whole apartment from top to bottom? He went into his bathroom where he found a note and a brand new bottle of his favorite cologne. The note read, “I am sorry for disrespecting your apartment when you let me stay here for free. You let me eat your food and you let me watch your cable. I know you never said anything, but the way I left your apartment yesterday had me guilty all night and day. I hope you enjoy your new apartment and this new cologne. Thank you for all that you did. I am off to newer and better places. See you soon, buddy!”
