Deep down, underground, On the ocean floor, Where the water is extremely cold, And humans rarely go, Rests ores of cooper and gold, Ready to be mined and sold, To the highest bidder, Yes, There are plans to open the world's first underwater mine, Sending robots out, To the bottom of the Pacific Ocean South, There are many unanswered questions without a doubt, Like, What will happen to marine life? Is it right? To just walk in their house, kick in the door, Punch in walls, Dig in their couch, And take it all? Does that make us criminals? Or is it just manifest destiny of the 21st century? And humans are entitled to those rare minerals? But what if the search for minerals, Releases tons of toxic chemicals into our water supply, Causing many species to die, Is it worth it? What's the real purpose? Is it just to collect minerals, to sell or be used inside of televisions and all things digital, If so, then I say no, We have seen this movie before, But instead of a seabed, It was because of our thirst for oil, So before we ignite, The beginning of an ocean fight?
