G-Star Raw - Return to New York lyrics

G-Star returned to the city that never sleeps for Fashion Week, staging an invite-only event with ballerina Keenan Kampa and rock star Sergio Pizzorno. Like the experimental runway shows of previous years, the evening blurred the boundaries between art, fashion, and music. Swapping her second skin Jeg Skinny denim for a couture G-Star dress, Keenan Kampa hosted the night and Sergio Pizzorno, wearing the Type C, played a live set with Kasabian. The latest addition to the collection, G-Star Eyewear, also debuted. From Altelier to Manhattan Inspired by Keenan's dancing with the Mariinsky Ballet Company, designers in the G-Star RAW Atelier created an elegant, flowing dress for the occasion. Distinctively G-Star, the dress combines a feminine silhouette with a denim-like shade of indigo. The dress arrived in New York along with Sergio and Keenan just in time for rehearsals. Having worked together intensely in Rankin's London studio during the shooting of the current campaign, the rehearsal was in part reunion for Keenan and Sergio. Despite coming from opposite creative fields, the rock star and ballerina share a common pa**ion for pushing artistic boundaries. Raw On Stage Surrounded by RAW Art objects, Keenan Kampa and Sergio Pizzorno took to the stage for a packed house of celebrities in New York's famed High Line Hotel. Radiant in her one-off creation, Keenan opened the evening and presented the campaign video, in which she stars with Sergio and the now infamous G-Star running dog. Kasabian with Sergio on guitar and vocals then filled the iconic Manhattan hall with their indie Brit-rock sound, playing a selection of their latest tracks. After a full set, DJs Tennessee Thomas and Paul Sevigny took over and kept guests like Erin Wa**on, Poppy Delevingne and Ne-Yo moving late into the night. Eyewear Launch Amidst the buzz of the evening, the latest G-Star collection was also launched: G-Star Eyewear. Crafted with distinctive straight cut lenses and premium frames, G-Star Eyewear has been designed for fashion-forward cities like New York. Channeled aviator frames, exposed oversized screws and industrial references mark the collection. Planned for release later in the year, G-Star Eyewear continues the G-Star design ethic of innovation and respect for craftsmanship.
