The Epic Hero monomyth is a very important concept when it comes to writing movies and stories. It's what mainly hooks the reader or the person watching the movie to the story. The Movie Stars Wars is a perfect example of the epic hero monomyth, it fulfills every cycle. Luke Skywalker is an excellent example of the Epic Hero monomyth because he fits all he steps of the Epic Hero cycle. Luke Sywalker begins as a normal farmer, just like any other teenage boy. He ends up finding Obi Wan and Obi Wan helps Luke out on his quest to find princess laya. Near the end he fights against the rebel forces, defeats the empire and destroys the d**h star. Once that ends, Luke's life takes a turn and changes and gets rewarded. Luke and his master take departure to go to the planet to find the hidden rebel base and helps fight. Luke's life crisis his when he sees darth vader k** ben. It affected Luke a lot because ben was who was helping Luke and a**isting him. After the d**h star gets destroyed, Luke's life changes and he turns into a new Jedi warrior. As a hero of my choice, I chose Iron Man. He started his life as a play boy millionaire who was making weapons for the military. However soon after his arrival Stark's party was attacked by a gang of terrorists led by the Sin-Cong revolutionary Wong Chu. Wong-Chu demanded Tony Stark to make advanced weaponry for his forces. The weaponry that they created was known as Iron Man. Tony shared a cell with Professor Ho Yinsen, a world-famous physicist. While the armor's battery was being powered, some of Wong-Chu's men attempted to break in on the proceedings. Yinsen went to create a diversion and was k**ed by Wong-Chu's men. When the battery had finished charging, Tony went into battle as Iron Man and tore Wong-Chu's camp apart. He eventually returned to the USA with the aid of US Marine James “Rhodey” Rhodes. Tony Stark didn't like his new life at first because he had to keep recharging the armor that was on his chest. He disliked his new life so much that he kept it a secret from anyone, including his wife. He also started turning into a heavy drinker and had suicidal thoughts. Joanna started encouraging Tony to use his armor for super hero purposes. Joanna ended up calling off the marriage due to her not thinking he would be the right man for a family. After that, Tony tries to keep his identity secret so the military wouldn't take his weapon from him. So tony ends up lying to the military and say that he hasn't been working on any new weapons. However, his biggest enemy ends up finding out and says he will help whoever captures tony Starks, but he has to keep his parts. Tony Stark's suit starts getting destroyed when he repeatedly gets thrown to the ground. Fortunately, Tony gets help and beats the man behind everything. He gains power in his suit again and finally, power in his self. Unfortunately, Tony had a disease that was slowly k**ing him, but he found an antidote that helped him survive. Since he survived he started fighting for himself and ends up defeating his enemy. After defeating his enemy Tony returns to his normal life. He goes back to his old house and focuses on his new relationship. Not just that but he goes back to creating weapons for the military again. After everything that he went through, he acts more matured. He isn't the same reckless playboy man anymore; he focuses more on his engineering. Everything ends up finally going back to normal. Once everything is back to normal he reveals his identity as Iron Man. After everything settles he goes back to his old life. He goes back to working in making new weapons, driving cars that are worth millions and starts going to parties. The epic hero monomyth played a big part in the movie Iron Man. Without this, the movie wouldn't make much sense. The epic hero monomyth is what organizes a story from beginning to end. In my opinion you would need to use this monomyth to make a successful movie or story.
