EP Ken - The Deep End lyrics

As a kid I was always afraid to swim No fears of the water, But rather the possibilities of drowning I grew up frighten of the possibility of love And then as time pa**ed, I learned to crave for it The desire to possess a love A love so deep that the ocean would be jealous A magnificent captivation that I'll just leave it for Philosophers to tell it From once being a soul once scared of it, I stepped in to the waters letting the fears go In fact I'm drowning in love, it has stolen my breath And the joys are pushing me down further I'm now caught up in its depth I was once scared to get in Testing the waters of affection were too cold for me Terrified that the it's shallow state would be too deep Jumping in was certainly out of the question But without any preparation, Temptation pushed me in Hard! And straight down into the pool I dived I drowned in my miseries but my Faith brought me afloat But as I gasped for air, I reached up with all my might and there was Hope Now I'm swimming all around this pool Lap after Lap with no more fear of sinking under What we don't realize is that Love is this body of water Waiting for us all to give up on doubt, and just dive into it's promises Now I'm all drenched in it's wetness Proclaiming to never step foot out of this pool of love Ready and anxious to try even bigger things with it Prepared to dive deep down into the ocean It takes my pride and all my devotion It's beauty is unique Let me jump in Head first, Swimming amongst the shores pool until I reach my peak Love's waters wash away my worries And cleanse the very pains of my past © Kenneth Walker
