Clark Gregg - The Avengers: Attack on the Helicarrier lyrics

[after the blast from the bomb, Natasha is trapped under a pile of rubble and next to her is Banner who is struggling with morphing into the Hulk] Natasha Romanoff: Doctor? Bruce, you gotta fight it. This is just what Loki wants. We're gonna be okay. Listen to me. [Banner tries to stop the transformation] We're gonna be okay. Right? I swear on my life I will get you out of this, you will walk away, and never... [Banner failing to stop his transformation into the Hulk shouts at Natasha] Bruce Banner: Your life? [Banner suddenly starts transforming into the Hulk and gives Natasha one last knowing look] Natasha Romanoff: Bruce. [Natasha struggles free of the rubble and takes off with the Hulk chasing after her] [Steve finds one of the damaged engines and calls to Stark] Steve Rogers: Stark, I'm here! [Stark flies in his Iron Man suit and gets close to the damage engine] Tony Stark: Good. See what we got. [as he looks at the damaged engine] I gotta get this super conducting cooling system back online before I can access the rotors and work on dislodging the debris. [Stark looks over at Steve] I need you to get to that engine control panel and tell me which relays are in overload position. [Steve gets himself to the control panel and opens it up] What's it look like in there? Steve Rogers: It seems to run on some form of electricity. Tony Stark: Well, you're not wrong. [as Natasha is still running from the Hulk, he corners her and is about to hit her when Thor comes plowing through and grabs the Hulk and they start fighting] Thor: We're not your enemies, Banner! Try to think! [suddenly Hulk punches Thor sending him flying across the ship] Steve Rogers: [referring to the damaged engine] The relays are intact. What's our next move? Tony Stark: Even if I clear the rotors, this thing won't re-engage without a jump. I'm gonna have to get in there and push. Steve Rogers: Well if that thing gets up to speed, you'll get shredded! Tony Stark: Then stay in the control unit and reverse polarity long enough to disengage mag... Steve Rogers: Speak English! Tony Stark: See that red lever? It'll slow the rotors down long enough for me to get out. Stand by it, wait for my word. [Steve jumps towards the red lever] [as they are fighting with Loki's soldiers on the ship] Agent Maria Hill: Sir, the Hulk will tear this place apart! Nick Fury: Get his attention. [The Hulk and Thor are battling it out; one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilots tries to shoot the Hulk from his jet outside the ship, the Hulk leaps out and lands on the jet's nose, tears it apart and finally plummets to earth] Nick Fury: [after Barton uses the computer to shut down the remaining engine] It's Barton, he took our systems. He's headed for the detention lab. Does anybody copy? Natasha Romanoff: This is Agent Romanoff. I copy. [Thor goes to find Loki and is tricked by Loki's body double power thinking he's escaping the cell and instead he ends up in the cell] Loki: Are you ever not going to fall for that? [to Thor as he tries to use his hammer to break the gla** cell] The humans think us immortal. Should we test that? [as Loki is about to open the whole in the middle of the gla** cell, Coulson suddenly appears and threatens Loki with a Phase 2 weapon prototype] Phil Coulson: Move away, please. [Loki moves away from the switch] You like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent the Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does. Do you wanna find out? [just as he's about to use the weapon suddenly Loki stabs Coulson from behind] Thor: Nooo! [Loki hits the bu*ton and opens the whole in the cell and drops Thor out of the ship trapped in the gla** cage, just as the cage is about to hit the ground he uses his hammer to break free through the gla** and leap free] [after dropping Thor to earth, Loki turns to leave but Coulson stops him] Phil Coulson: You're gonna lose. Loki: Am I? Phil Coulson: It's in your nature. Loki: Your heroes are scattered, your floating fortress falls from the sky. Where is my disadvantage? Agent Phil Coulson: You lack conviction. Loki: I don't think I... [suddenly shoots Loki through the wall with the Phase 2 weapon which blasts out fire] Phil Coulson: So that's what it does. [as Stark is trying to get the engine started up] Tony Stark: Cap, need a lever. [Steve, who had been fighting with Loki's soldiers is now hanging from the edge of the ship hanging on to a wire] Steve Rogers: I need a minute here! Tony Stark: Lever! Now! [Steve drags himself back on the ship but Loki's soldiers start shooting at him, Stark then gets dragged out of the engine just as Steve manages to pull the red lever] [as Loki escapes the ship via a jet, Fury finds Coulson gravely wounded] Phil Coulson: I'm sorry, boss. They got rabbited. Nick Fury: Just stay awake. Eyes on me. Phil Coulson: No, I'm clockin' out here. Nick Fury: Not an option. Phil Coulson: It's okay, boss. This was never gonna work if they didn't have something to... [Coulson dies before he can finish the sentence] [after Coulson dies, Fury gathers the remaining Avengers in the ship's meeting room] Nick Fury: These were in Phil Coulson's jacket. Guess he never did get you to sign them. [he throws Coulson's Captain America trading cards on the table towards Steve] We're dead in the air up here. Our communications, location of the cube, Banner, Thor. I got nothing for you. Lost my one good eye. Maybe I had that coming. [he pauses for a moment] Yes, we were going to build an arsenal with the Tesseract. I never put all my chips on that number though, because I was playing something even riskier. There was an idea, Stark knows this, called The Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could. Phil Coulson died still believing in that idea, in heroes. [Stark gets up and walks off] Well, it's an old fashioned notion. [Banner now in his human form, wakes up naked in a pile of rubble in an abandoned building] Security Guard: You fell out of the sky. Bruce Banner: Did I hurt anybody? Security Guard: There's nobody around here to get hurt. You did scare the hell out of some pigeons though. Bruce Banner: Lucky. Security Guard: Or just good aim. You were awake when you fell. Bruce Banner: You saw? Security Guard: The whole thing, right through the ceiling. Big and green and buck a** nude. Here... [he throws Banner a pair of trousers] I didn't think those would fit you until you shrunk down to a regular size fella. Bruce Banner: Thank you. [Banner put on the trousers] Security Guard: Are you an alien? Bruce Banner: What? Security Guard: From outer space, an alien? Bruce Banner: No. Security Guard: Well then, son, you've got a condition. [after Natasha has won her fight with Barton, she's strapped him down so that he can shake off Loki's mind control] Natasha Romanoff: Clint, You're gonna be alright. Clint Barton: You know that? Is that what you know? I got... I gotta go in though. I gotta flush him out. Natasha Romanoff: We don't have that long, it's gonna take time. Clint Barton: I don't understand. Have you ever had someone take your brain and play? Pull you out and send something else in? Do you know what it's like to be unmade? Natasha Romanoff: You know that I do. Clint Barton: Why am I back? How did you get him out? Natasha Romanoff: Cognitive recalibration... I hit you really hard in the head. Clint Barton: Thanks. [Natasha frees his hands from the restraints] Tasha, how many agents? Natasha Romanoff: Don't. Don't do that to yourself, Clint. This is Loki. This is monsters and magic and nothing we were ever trained for. Clint Barton: Loki, he got away? Natasha Romanoff: Yeah. I don't suppose you know where? Clint Barton: I didn't need to know. I didn't ask. He's gonna make his play soon though. Today. Natasha Romanoff: We gotta stop him. Clint Barton: Yeah? Who's we? Natasha Romanoff: I don't know. Who's ever left. Clint Barton: Well, if I put an arrow in Loki's eye socket, I'd sleep better I suppose. Natasha Romanoff: Now you sound like you. Clint Barton: But you don't. You're a spy, not a soldier. Now you want to wade into a war. Why? What did Loki do to you? Natasha Romanoff: He didn't, I just... [she pauses] Clint Barton: Natasha. Natasha Romanoff: I've been compromised. I got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out. Steve Rogers: [referring to Coulson] Was he married? Tony Stark: No. He was a uh... cellist, I think. Steve Rogers: I'm sorry. He seemed like a good man. Tony Stark: He was an idiot. Steve Rogers: Why? For believing? Tony Stark: For taking on Loki alone. Steve Rogers: He was doing his job. Tony Stark: He was out of his league. He should have waited. He should have... Steve Rogers: Sometimes there isn't a way out, Tony. Tony Stark: Right. How did that work for him? Steve Rogers: Is this the first time you've lost a soldier? Tony Stark: We are not soldiers! I'm not marching to Fury's fife. Steve Rogers: Neither am I. He's got the same blood on his hands that Loki does, but right now we gotta put that behind us and get this done. Now Loki needs a power source, if we can put together a list... Tony Stark: He made it personal. Steve Rogers: That's not the point. Tony Stark: That is the point. That's Loki's point. He hit us all right where we live. Why? Steve Rogers: To tear us apart. Tony Stark: He had to conquer his greed, but he knows he has to take us out to win, right? That's what he wants. He wants to beat us, he wants to be seen doing it. He wants an audience. Steve Rogers: Right. I caught his act in Stuttgart. Tony Stark: Yeah. That's just previews, this is... this is opening night. And Loki, he's a full-tail diva. He wants flowers, he wants parades, he wants a monument built to the skies with his name plastered- [Tony comes to a realization] Son of a b**h. [Steve goes to find Black Widow] Steve Rogers: Time to go. Natasha Romanoff: Go where? Steve Rogers: I'll tell you on the way. Can you fly one of those jets? [Barton walks into the room] Clint Barton: I can. [Steve looks at Natasha and she nods her head to confirm Barton's on their side] Steve Rogers: You got a suit? Clint Barton: Yeah. Steve Rogers: Then suit up. [as Steve, Barton and Natasha walk onto the jet] Young Shield Pilot: You guys aren't authorized to be in here. Steve Rogers: Son, just don't. Agent Maria Hill: Sir. Nick Fury: Agent Hill? Agent Maria Hill: Those cards, they were in Coulson's locker, not in his jacket. Nick Fury: They needed the push. [he watches as Stark flies off in his Iron Man suit and the jet that Steve, Barton and Natasha have boarded sets off] They found it. Get our communications back up, whatever you have to do. I want eyes on everything. Agent Maria Hill: Yes, sir.
