9/9/13: I am still reading the Hunger Games. Today I read the part where Katniss and Peeta finally venture out of the cave and go hunt for food. Another Tribute dies because she ate some berries that Peeta thought were safe ,they ended being poisonous. Because she died, there is only three tributes left. Getting really close to the end of their struggling journey. 9/10/13: Today in the Hunger Games, I read the part where Katniss, Peeta and the last tribute have their final showdown. They think it's only them three, but the people that control the game send out a huge pack of mutated dogs to chase them. They end up climbing to safety, except the third tribute who gets eaten by the dogs. They end up winning and head back to the capitol and get fixed up and fed. 9/11/13: Today, I finished the Hunger Games. The ending was interesting, but I don't like how it cuts off for a second book; it leaves you hanging. Anyway, Katniss and Peeta go to get interviewed about the games and just talk about what they experienced. Also, in the interviews, Katniss finds out that Peeta's leg, the one that was injured, is no longer there, that he has a new one. So all of that happens, they go home, and the book is pretty much over. 9/12/13: Today I started a new book called Catching Fire, the second Hunger Games book. In the start of the book, you read about Katniss going back to the woods hunting rabbits, squirrels and such. Then she talks about how Gale, a childhood friend,got a job in the mines, and how he can only meet up with her on Sundays.She then talks about the games and how it is to be a victor. All in all, the book starts out really slow. 9/13/13: In what I read today, katniss is visited by President Snow. He talks about how her and Peeta winning the games has made the Capital the laughing stock of Panem. Also, talks about how one day, she went into the woods and saw Gale. She hasn't seen Gale for a long time and they start to talk and catch up. Then all of a sudden he kisses her.So now, she is really confused about her friendship with Gale.
