We like our lives the way they are
We drink from pots and mason jars
We never do a single dish
The house is fine way it is
The roaches climb up all the walls, it doesn't bother us at all
The mice eat up all of our food, but that's okay - it's nothin' new
The other day I woke up at 5 pm - the sun was going down
The moon was coming up to watch over my town
I called up all my friends to see what I had missed
But they were still asleep I shook my
Head this is getting ridiculous
How is life so easy? Life is so easy
The other night I stayed up 'till 12 pm - the sun was over my head
The businessmen ate lunch as I headed off to bed
I'll wake up around 5, knee-deep in my debt
But I'll call the hospital so I can
Donate my body to pay the rent
How is life so easy? Life is so easy
The roaches climb up all the walls it doesn't bother us at
All of us are dedicated: unemployed and loving it
And we take pride in what we don't do
How is life so easy? Life is so easy
