Sleep once again alludes me
I shake off my fatigue and rise from bed
And hide from the rest of the slumbering world
Waking the rest of them would serve no purpose
So I am erstwhile and again in solitude
Loneliness covers me like a worn blanket
That I have worn into threads
Night upon night
A ritual so familiar
It hums softly into my ear
The refrain I have memorized
A tune that never ceases
The clock ticks quietly near by
Every second reminding me of fantasies
I am missing each hour that pa**es
Pa**ing away time…Pa**ing away daydreams
