A warm breeze was blowing in from the southwest as Derek stepped into the boxed outlined in white chalk. The game is tied 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th with two outs with a runner on first base. A million things ran through his head. “Stay off the outside pitch, look for the inside fastball,” he told himself. The crowd of 9,000 people was roaring, but silence once he stepped into the box. The count is 0-0 and the pitch comes, curve ball on the outside corner for a called strike. Derek steps outside the white chalk lines. He tells himself, “I'm not swing unless its an inside fastball.” Next pitch comes as the crowed once again silenced. Another called strike, and Derek was behind in the count 0-2. He beat himself up a little for getting behind in the count, but he was still waiting for the inside fastball. He steps back into the box with the thought that this could be his last at bat in a Tiger jersey. His mind was racing; he could feel the sweat drip down is forehead and his hands shaking. Derek took a deep breath to slow the game down and told himself, “inside fastball.” The 0-2 pitch was on it's way, the ball seemed like a beach ball coming in at him. Derek could see the red seems of the ball, and the SEC logo stamped on the baseball. Inside fastball, Derek swings at the ball. He crushed in over the brick wall over right-center. The crowd erupts and begins to chant “MVP, MVP, MVP.” Derek throws his helmet off in the air sprinting around the bases. He gets a slap on his bu*t from the 3rd base coach and is dog piled by his teammates at home plate. Derek hit his first walk-off 2-homerun of his career in his last at bat in a Tiger uniform.

Photo snapped as if someone said a funny comment to make her laugh. Of course this makes her eyes a little squinty. Her head tilted slightly to the left as her shoulders are stiff and laying in her lap. Her dark brown hair looks like the color of chocolate, flows all the way down to her elbows. Her teeth look as if she is in an Orbit gum commercial. The tank top looks as if it was purchased in a hippy store in boulder, Colorado; a tan color, with a dull pink and blue swirly design printed on top. The photo crops off from her waste and above, with the exception of half her forehead being cut off. The picture was taken in 2012 in honor of her high school graduation.
