My little girl please come take me home
I'm hardly sick but tired
On my long way home I have always missed
All the strength that you give to me
More than eighty days I have toured through the land
With a car and a tent and a knife
Like a lonesome scout I explored country life
griping restlessly and wild
It's a very strange dimension
Such a journey through the fields
And I pay with good intention
For every day HE is giving to me
While I find myself in these old-grown woods
City-life goes on and on
And no girl wouldn't wait for this old-fashioned man
She needs fresh blood ...can't ever be alone
But the young gods failed, 'cause they're poor'n lack and ill
They are dust in the middle of the road
Now respect myself, I have always paid the dues
So come to me to a lazy shade of green
It's a very strange dimension
Such a journey through the fields
And I pay with good intention
For every day HE is giving to me
