Everyone has a story
I saw him standing there,
With his little cardboard sign.
Barely able to read the letters,
Wondering what is on his mind.
Does he have a sad true story?,
Love gone wrong that broke his heart.
Robbing all of his tomorrows,
Now with that sign he does not part.
Did he once have a family?,
A house filled with children to.
What did leave him so isolated?,
From the world and folks like you.
Do I judge him and look away?,
Or do I ask him what's to blame?
Extend my heart that's filled with mercy,
Or walk away treating him with shame.
Everyone has a beginning,
Some not as good as others do.
Broken spirits are'nt always mended.
Remember this if he comes in view.
