[Intro]
I would describe my journey walking miles and miles in these shoes so far as..
Well, I would say it begins a little something like this..
[Verse 1]
Look, I remember every night sitting on my momma's back porch
Memories of my neighbor with the '08 Obama sticker on his black Porsche
And I made a habit of writing rhymes under the light of a lit tiki torch
Then have dinner with my main b**h only to make her p**y the main course
Thinking to myself if I needed ask yourself, "How much do our lives really differ?"
Cuz all of us come to crossroads that we take and make us risk takers
Throughout my life I was one always taking these drastic measures
It was to good too be true if they were decisions without the dirty pleasures
Got sidetracked, getting back on track took loved ones to give me lectures
First you'll fall flat on you're face, but now you'll know better and little bit extra
Just to let it be known that you're far from perfect
Although you'll never be far from home to know that you are worth it
Step one is to have belief like religious people who read sermons
But at least their willing to go out their way every Sunday to do a service
These days it almost seems we're just hoping we get noticed, only to end up more nervous
Nowadays to look for any hope sadly has us looking urgent
Hopefully y'all tune in for the forewarnings
Before it's too late, soon enough they'll decide your own faith with unimaginable forces
Better find yourself, start putting out search parties before they start sending out search warrants
[Chorus: Tay Darling]
I'm sold that I have so much soul, like yes
I've got so much soul, I've got soul
So, much to offer
I've got so much to offer, to the world
Got so much soul that I can talk that talk
So watch me as I talk it
Got so much soul that I can walk that walk
So watch me as I walk it
That's soul
