9/16 (Aug. 22): The day after his sentencing, Manning announces that he is female and wants to be referred to from now on as Chelsea. The announcement is made during an appearance on the Today show by David E. Coombs, Manning's defense lawyer. Coombs makes the announcement by reading Manning's written statement. In the statement, Manning writes: "As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me. I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female. Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition. I also request that, starting today; you refer to me by my new name and use the feminine pronoun."
9/17 Colorado Recalls Pro-Gun Control State Senators (Sept. 10): Voters in Colorado throw out of office Democrats John Morse and Angela Giron for their support of recently enacted gun-control laws that mandate background checks on private gun sales and limit magazine clips to 15 rounds. The election draws national attention not only for the ouster of the officials but also for the influx of money on both sides, from the National Rifle Association and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg, a gun-control advocate.
9/18 In August there were slightly less jobs than the monthly average. I honestly think that these job employments are going down and the unemployment rates are going up for some many different reasons. this is severely hurting our economy growth wise, because without workers and jobs for those workers ow is anyone suppose to earn and make a living if they have to pay for all these different things and they are making little to no money. Something HAS to change in order for us to become economically stronger so we can focus on other matters.
9/19 I was reading How to Rap and it was talking about what different rappers all rap about and the rap terms. They rap not only to make a rhyme of have a nice flow but with every lyric said they have a meaning for all of them. They give you incite as to what to look for in good rapping ability and how to improve rapper sk**s from mediocre to extraordinary talents.
9/20 This How to Rap book gives information different rappers and their rapping styles. They talk about how different rappers feel their method of raps style mad them and helped them get to where we are today. It's a very good book that explains how different rappers show how their sk**s became one of the best in the rap industry.
