"Darkness, take me"
A solemn promise to the endless living
From the sun's glare, a life begins with the phoenix' tear
While upon the darkness of moonless night
Life is torn apart by shadows of murderers and rapists
Trembling through the times
Where the darkness of closing your eyes
Is more humbling and welcoming
Than the darkness of seeing
The world in a cold truth of revelations
In the one hand, we could stand here with the holiest of vows
The other, madness of a blood-crazed devourer
Times like these when all is naught but ash
Why do we keep our oaths?
When darkness invades and seeps through the cracks
Slowly taking control of the minority that is humankind
In darkness, the world seems more beautiful
But only if the bloodied skin is pulled over our eyes
