From the Album: Unearthed (2000)
The creator today took my father home
No longer the land will we freely roam
Straight to San Carlos made of ash and stone
With the soldiers they will send
So with Geronimo I choose to ride
And lead the others free to the mountainside
The one they call general has spoken lies
When they come we will rise again
Some of us each day are hunted down
We bury the dead in the mountain ground
They torture the young and the old they found
And I struggle to understand
How one can lay claim to another's home
Something that man he could never own
Now the creators gift lies in the hands of those
Who will rape my eyes before I see it go
As the summer moon shows armies drawing near
My spirit love overcomes the awe in ear
I look down on where we once could hunt and grow
Father blind my eyes before I see it go
Black out all my emotions with silence
Bury them all with the summer dead
You and I climb onward to "No Fence"
They would be surprised what the wolf has said
And the signs they read
