Beth Campbell was born in a small town in the outskirts of Nashville, TN. It was a dry town where hard alcohol was prohibited. She lived in a homey neighborhood with her parents; everyone in the neighborhood knew each others' names. Her father was a soybean farmer and her mom stayed at home where she cooked, cleaned, and cared for Beth. Beth was an only child, born and raised in Tennessee in a big beautiful brick house with pearly white panels lining the windows. Not one house in their circle looked the same, unlike most other neighborhoods. As a child she learned how to vocalize, play acoustic guitar and how to flawlessly play the banjo. Her favorite music to listen to and play was always country music considering the state she grew up in is the home of country music and its stars. Her live long dream was to eventually become a performer in Nashville. All her favorite artists growing up had played there. In reality, she knew she couldn't rely solely on wanting to be a performer. She needed to work to be discovered and have a back up career that she would also love because honestly, who doesn't want to become a performer? It seems like everyone does. Because she knew she needed to further her education whether she would be a performer or some other type of work, she attended Vanderbilt University. She graduated after 5 years with an art degree and a minor in wildlife. Oh did Beth love animals. They were third in her life to her family and her music. She had a cat named Paisley and a co*ker spaniel named Duke ever since she was four years old. She practically had to beg her momma for the puppy, but the whole family ended up falling in love with him. As Duke and Beth grew up together, they became life long best friends. She brought him to her show and tell, to her soccer games, and eventually to college with her. During and after college Beth worked at a diner near her dorms. She also played in bars and clubs in downtown Nashville hoping to one day sign a record contract with a country music label. She wrote her own music and played at open mic bars like Tootsies, Honky Tonk Central, and Margaritaville. She saw many performers become discovered and wondered when it would be her time. She kept playing one, two, three times a weekend waiting for her big chance. She was waiting for her big break to get paid to do what she really loved. She loved her animals, but music was a different story. She would get lost in the music and the songs she wrote would tell her life, making them even more special to her. She wanted the whole world to hear her lyrics, not just the regulars at the bar. She wanted her lyrics and the strumming of her guitar to be stuck in the pa**erby's head walking down Main St.
2014 turned out to be a really good year and a really bad year for Beth. She met the love of her life after a night playing at Tootsies. He had played in the open mic night before her and stayed to watch her perform. He approached her after her performance and they have been inseparable ever since. Beth and Duke eventually moved in with Beth's new fiance, Rick Sterling. Shortly after they moved into their home, Beth lost Duke. She thought she would never get over the loss of her best friend that happened so quickly. She knew he was old, but never wanted to admit it to herself. A few months after Duke's pa**ing, Rick bought Beth a new puppy to fill the void in her heart left by Duke. She was excited, but knew no pup could ever replace the dog she had since she was four. She kept the new puppy, a Dalmation, and named her Daisy. Beth finally caught a break in her career later that year. A talent scout approached her on November 5, 2014, (she would never forget that date). He told her she was extremely talented in song writing and performing and wanted to hear more and show her to his bosses back at the studio. She signed with Nashville Records in December of that same year. She couldn't have been happier, knowing she could quit her waitress job and focus on the most important things in her life: the job of her dreams, the love of her life and family, and her new pup Daisy!
