With Fracking wells popping up all over the country,
A lot of people are wondering,
What's with all the grumbling?
This new mining technique,
Extracts natural gas from deep,
Within the Earth's surface,
It has,
The potential to make burning coal a thing of the past,
Help decrease the price of gas,
And carbon emissions,
Allowing us to finally become more energy independent,
As a result, reduce spending,
On foreign oil,
But here is the turmoil,
This process entails,
Pumping toxic chemicals under the ground in to rocks such as shale,
At high pressure it makes room for natural gas to migrate to the wells,
But these toxins also make there way back above ground,
Scientists have found,
Leaks in the Fracking system,
Allows,
Highly dangerous chemicals,
To find their way in our water system,
So even though this method has alot of potential,
Before we open up private and public land to capitalists,
Our government must get on top us this,
With regulations to make it safer,
And limit the environmental risks,
