A loud booming sound,
Shakes the ground,
Your heart begins to pound,
As you try to look around the small town,
Blocking your vision,
Is a fireball surrounded by a black cloud,
This is the experience
Of people living,
In walking distance,
Of Lynchburg Virginia,
When a crude oil train,
Carrying propane and methane,
went off tracks,
Here are the facts,
As oil consumption and transportation continue to rise,
So has the occurrence of these accidents,
It's happened,
4 times,
In the past 10 months, just in North America,
Not trying to scare ya,
But,
What if you live in an area,
Like Lynchburg Virginia,
The wrong motion with these explosives,
And someone may have to bury ya.
Or oil could be spilled in your ocean or river,
Federal regulators
must make crude oil transportation safer,
Sooner than later,
Because it is dangerous without a doubt, Stronger tank cars, track inspections and stricter routes,
These are the recommendations,
Now its up to the Department of transportation,
To figure it out,
Don't Waste Our Planet
