Guess what was on the floor,
When the Kenyan government kicked in a Mombasa warehouse door?
Not Gold or Diamonds,
But 228 tusks of illegal ivory,
From 114 elephants,
Maybe more,
This is the Biggest Ivory Overhaul,
Of the year,
Validating the fears,
That poachers, human vultures,
Are bringing elephants to tears,
Tearing off their tusks,
Shipping it to many countries,
Murdering elephants all for the love of fast money,
The problem is very obvious,
Global demand for ivory has made elephants a clear target,
Their tusks have become valuable exports,
Shipped through African ports, To Asian markets,
First we had blood diamonds,
Now we have blood ivory,
So, Now is the time to stand up against this injustice,
We must ban it,
Because if we don't put a stop to this,
In a few years African Elephants and other species with resources that are relevant,
Will no longer exist, on our planet.
