The mind of a young, Black Man conflicted
the fast life he done see on the screen addictive
additions to the family year after year
no father at home his uncle let him try beer
he knows fear
he dwells in it every day
tryna jump obstacles each and every way
and every pay slip he dreams
to avoid a life of robbery and schemes,
by making means,
his Mama out the ghetto
able to walk around without any heavy metal
no guns just roses
a free man in a world that's frozen
some try, some chosen
chasing paper, power and posing,
with confidence shown,
same camera you stand for wants to bite at your bone
put you in a zone
put you on a throne
but summer ends and there's a switch in tone
you start to count your stones,
realising time is all you got in a world that's sewn,
to make young black men rise then fall greater
Coleworld, execpt for those at the equator.
