[Verse 1: FR33STYLE]
Working on raps 'til three in the morn - U.O.E.N.O. it
Writing 'em all down 'til my wrist is sore - U.O.E.N.O. it
They told me it was the wrong path, but I didn't stop
I dove further into that hip-hop
Got lost in my own world when the ba** knocked
Waited in anticipation for the ba** drop
My friends like "What do you listen to that for?"
Setting me up to fall through the trap door
"Do you hear it? The lyrics ain't worth crap!"
Didn't matter I'd just listen to Em rap more
That's not to say that I don't agree
It certainly can be a little sketchy
But I still move on with no regrets see
More often than not, the lyrics catch me
They pull me in, see me through
Give me insight when I don't know what to do
Lay it out, it's a simple truth
And I'd take it to heart each way to school
So I traded in my poem book
And gave rap my own look
But now what'll it take to get you to listen
Do I need gimmicks, do I need a vision
Should I change my voice, or switch up the rhythm?
"Just follow these steps it'll be so simple"
They tell me that, but I'm not so quick
To give up my stance and get caught in the middle
Yet they come in and dance sarcastically
"You ain't black man, what a catastrophe!"
Making fun of me while I'm making my masterpiece
Truthfully, I need some faster beats
I rap better than half these rappers every time times three
It's automatic and it's tragic if you ain't in line with me
Swear, it just happens to happen when I ride the beat
'Cause I heat up every track to 105 degrees
But if you dismiss it, it doesn't really matter to me
It's your decision - you can leave it or you can ride with me
I'll just kick back and continue to rhyme with ease
Laughing at my haters 'cause they're comedies!
I've been rapping for years man - U.O.E.N.O. it
Should've opened your ears man - U.O.E.N.O. it
