Hey, it's not even winter.
At least I've got time on my side.
Great, I'm already thinner,
So weak and with much to hide.
So I look out my window
At these sunken purple walls
And wish I hadn't let you know
That I would take that fall again.
Hey, let's think of the weather,
Like sun in December and say,
"Great, I've already been here,
But now I want you by my side."
So I look down and hope for
Something safe to land upon.
As reckless as I tend to be
I just might scare you off.
But wait, just wait.
Maybe next year
I'll start a new page with everyone still here.
Maybe next year
I'll start a new page and you will disappear
From sight and mind,
And I'll have nothing left to hide
