[Hook: Cuts]
[Verse 1: Flex The Antihero]
So this is right, you see the bright lights
But tend to not quite get what is in my sight
And despite all my shortcomings in life I'm nice, when steppin' up to the mic, here's some advice
Don't do it unless you're fully into it willin' to sacrifice, your life and all that is in it to get a simple slice
Of devils pie, still wonder why, many will try, spend all your time chasing what's mine, it's quite a crime
But my design is not one in which you would soon acquire, it's more the type you should witness take a seat and admire
Till I expire I plan on simply taking it higher, rather retire than to give any less than required
The true prevail as always so I never sweat it though, don't sell me nothing short of excellent can bet I boast
On my toes, plan to make it never crawling so, I'm taking bank, plus your rank, f** you're moving slow
[Hook: Cuts]
[Verse 2: Flex The Antihero]
So when the curtain closed, well I was certain those, who wanna show their love would not be some I would oppose
This time it shows brighter than most, fight or be ghost, overdosin' on the fact that I'm close
To making moves in the right way, or so they might say, it may or not pay to be the one they all pray
Will find his downfall seconds from when he peaks, f**ing weak individuals who never succeed
So they breed animosity inside of their souls, know your goal is stoppin' me but I'm not one to control
So honestly, I do it properly but still I gotta tell myself, to stay one up on everyone cause some are seeking wealth
From out of my pocket I tell 'em I got it I'm good, hand on my wallet, I couldn't call it but wishin' I could
From all I've seen and watched, I'll say I've earned my spot
Nobody's got a better reason to be at the top
[Hook: Cuts]
[Verse 3: D-Sisive]
Mommy wanted a doctor, daddy wanted a boxer, and I wanted to represent the roc
Rocket soar, roc-a-fella records rockin' emblems on my sweaters, phat farm, ecko, with mecca on my chest
Recordin' records with distorted levels over samples chopped sloppy, in my room with 20 maxells making labels a copy of my demo tape
Ya, I said it demo tape, sealed it in an envelope with a photo of my fat freckled face
Fast forward a decade, to two thousand and 0-8, ignored since I was 18 I chose to pave my own lane
Out of shape and exhausted, defeated and destroyed, I wrote about the parralells between me and the beach boy
Kids related to me, and critics praised my honesty, local rappers copied me and now how could I not believe
That I was deal worthy, sent labels my record, my demo came back 3 days later, return to sender
Damn
