Space soldier understood by few
Not really liked by the ones that do
He's looking down from a different point of view
Never knowing but he wishes he knew
The answers to questions few dare to ask
Finding these answers is his ultimate task
Flying through space, he whispers and moans
All by himself but he's not alone
Space, space soldier
Strange Joe
As a child the boy had a vision
Since that time he hasn't felt much like living
In the world that denies him the star
That once gave light to his cold dark heart
"Was it an angel, or was it the devil?"
He believes in God but he's such a strange fellow
So he left the earth and since then has flown
Across the heavens in search of a home
Space, space soldier
Strange Joe
Sometimes I wonder is it all a dream?
Or is this life as strange as it seems?
Haven't seen her for such a long time
But still can't get her out of my mind
Before I met her I couldn't even cry
Nor did I laugh or even ask why
A man is born to this human race
Destined to search for himself out in space
Anyway tonight that's where I roam
In my little spaceship and through the great unknown
Space, space soldier
Where do you go?
Space, space soldier
Do you even know?
Space, space soldier
Where the wind blows?
Space, space soldier
Strange Joe
