The sun sends its scorch
Burning rocks come tumbling, singeing our last layer
Plates shift with haste, testing water's knack for sweeping us away
A funneling cloud will keep us underground
Ice melting so thin we're liable to drown
All signs show it is us to blame, we're masticating the health of our host from the inside out
Something's wrong
We're wondering: if all was gone, what could we attest to?
Oblivion caped & crippled the earth
Parasites become of the appetites too desperate for fulfillment
Lost is the power to harvest our worth
This is not hands from above intent on punishing their young
This is not where we belong if this body is never enough
This is not reversible
We took too much when we dug this hole
This is not where we belong if this body is never enough
Feeding tortured mess by design
Hunger took the backseat to our past times
Superior souls are stripped of empathy despite their quintessence
Sentient souls hang like trophies despite their quintessence
I've been wondering how we got so alone
If hate spread like wildfire, the earth would be covered in flames
Symbiosis was brave but never made a bout, a contest against all that breathes until light burns out
