[Ecid]
Grandma's favorite grandson. Son of a handgun
Put your hands up this is a happy man's anthem
I came to kidnap rap for a billion dollar ransom
f** your golden era and your teeny bopper tantrums
When I'm dead I wanna leave a legendary legacy
A body of work with every word and every energy
I'm not afraid of making enemies
I'm afraid of making babies with vindictive pay-check chasing crazies
I could never be lazy
No time to relax
I've already visited hell and I'll never be back
Jump for joy now that everything's green gra**
Too many people can't see past the demon mask
It's an empty [?] disco and we're all just burning copies
Singing along to long lost rock-star wannabes
And honestly I don't wanna be another networking zombie
I want something real something beautiful and sloppy
Listen up party animals
Those dance moves you use are too mechanical
Who needs wings to fly when you've got a catapult?
Find something you love. Find something tangible. (x2)
As a kid you drank coke
As a teen you learned to snort it
As an adult you smoke it ‘cause you can't afford it
I've never done powders
Don't really do to many d**
I guess I think I'll like the buzz a little too much
Micro manage by day. Hopeless romantic by trade
Pseudo super hero fanatic by razor-blade
You should do something special before you fade into the gray
But all some of us want is a good lay and good pay
And that's okay whatever floats your stolen cargo boat
I want to be bigger than gravity and charge the world to float
That's no joke let's just say I've got high hopes
And it don't stop ‘til I've got you brainwashed by my quotes
We can't all be Pica**os
Some of us have to be normal folk
That makes us all special individual souls
I want to poke a hole in a portal and off we go
I don't think its possible but damn that'd be dope
Listen up party animals. Those dance moves you use are too mechanical. Who needs wings to fly when you've got a catapult? Find something you love. Find something tangible. (x2)
Let's party like it's 2012 and sell each other all the things that we would never tell
Let's party like it's 2012 and tell each other all the things that we would never sell(x2)
[John Cusack (from High Fidelity)]
People worry about kids playing with guns or watching violent videos, that some sort of violent culture will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands, of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery, and loss
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable, or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?
