The First Single off Happy Hour. I dropped it September 12th, video October 12th coming off an A3C performance(shout out Chaundon). One of the last records we recorded for the album, and for me? It was about going left. I didn't wanna do a typical single-ish record. If this was the 90s, this would be a b-side record. I just wanted to rap honestly and give the people bars and just let them know the album was coming and we're taking no prisoners. I still perform the song to this day, which is one of the few that hasn't left the rotation at one point
“Word around the way is I been cooking up
I'm that fire on the stove that you shouldn't touch
Greatness take time, so you shouldn't rush
Wanna know how to find me, go an look on up”
The Video
Simplest video I've ever done. My homegirl Bigga cooked us up some chocolate chip pancakes. They was good too, gooder than a mug. This was a two day shoot, more so for location and planning than intricacy. I came through in the dashiki, cats seen it, jock rode but I'm just tryna promote unity for all Africans, wheater it be in Africa or those from the dispora. Love. (got deep on y'all real quick)
“And tell the cops to get off my sack
Til they stop k**ing blacks for being break”
Shout out to my man Broadway who came for the video, Bigga, and of course Llama
Side note: I actually put it out there for people to come through the video, one of the few videos where a posse scene could have been dope… but it was a Sunday morning so people wasn't with it
"They busy knockin I'm a pick the locks
If we can't get it to bubble then we switch the pops
If we can't get to sell(sail), we switch the dock"
Sorry, no cool story here, just dope raps
