Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games is an example of the epic hero monomyth as well. Katniss lives in a small home with very little money or food. She hunts every day for any food supply she can find to provide for her family. It is very hard to manage things in her home. She has the capital always abusing the town with guns and fights. This is Katniss' normal home life. Katniss doesn't want to leave her home. This is the status quo of the story. Katniss leads a normal life, there is no trouble and she lives her life.
