Don't you love the holiday of Purim
What a great time for kids and men
But I just happen to be a woman
And it's that time of year again
When every bone in my body starts shakin'
And I'm breakin' out in cold cold sweat
All my muscles are tired and achin'
And I haven't started cleaning yet
I've got the here comes Pesach blues
A Jewish woman's gotta pay her dues
But my heart keeps pounding and my brain feels numb
Thinking about those tiny crumbs
I got the here comes Pesach blues
I'll have to vacuum out each and every pocket
I use a flashlight to check down the drain
Toothpicks are great for cleaning sockets
My cleanin' lady thinks I'm insane
And when I'm finally done with all the bedrooms
And I lay down for a five minute break
My three year old just home from school will run through the house chewing on some chocolate cake
I got the here comes Pesach blues
A Jewish woman's gotta pay her dues
But my heart gets pounding and my brain feels numb
Thinking about those tiny crumbs
I got the here comes Pesach blues
I'd like to lay down my mop and rest my back - but we can't afford the h*mowack
I've got the here comes Pesach blues
I haven't even mentioned all the cookin'
There's really not too much to discuss
"More potatoes?" everyone will be complaining
It's not my fault we don't eat gabrukts
There's one more thing that's really quite confusin'
And an answer to this questions remains
Can someone tell me why the same things we buy all through the year
Are Pesach time are triple the price?
Now the purpose of this song is not to question
Why this mitzvah was given to me
The reward will be beyond my comprehension
And I'll do it, till mashiach sets me free
All I'm asking is for some cooperation
That my husband and our children lend a hand
And If I'm a bit too quick to show frustration
Perhaps this song will help them understand
I've got the here come Pesach blues
A Jewish woman's gotta pay her dues
But my heart gets pounding and my brain feels numb
Thinking about those tiny crumbs
I got the here comes Pesach blues
Oy, I got the here comes Pesach blues
