Money “All money does is change hands” I heard someone say that about 3 years ago. It stuck with me so I had to throw it on a song one day Money is important man, but it leads to a lot of BS. I wanted to show BOTH sides of it, in my perspective. Wanted to show how much I wanted it, but how others want it too much “I'm just watering my green, so my garden can start winning Been thirsty for a while, tired of the parch living Tryna be Porshe, manicured lawn living” If you break that down it all ties in. Green means money of course, but it also means green gra** that money can bring. ‘Been thirsty for a while' is a play on that, cause green needs water to grow. I been thirsty to grow like the gra** is thirsty for green to do the same “Believe you me, some kids got no options They selling rock, just to by some stove top than… police knocking” If America only knew the amount of kids that had no other way to eat but sell d** cause they're parents are on those d** and they're too young to get a job, maybe jails cells would turn into more schools or rehab centers. A lot of these situations go unheard or told unless you're in the environment. Everything isn't as simple as ‘doing the right thing' “You mean for this little piece of paper It turn lovers into haters, family into fakers Givers into takers?” I've seen families torn apart for televisions. Flesh and blood split for less than the car they drive. It's amazing what green pieces of paper can do, can it? Especially because, at the end of the day, all money changes hands Of yea, Pt. 2 is already recorded Oh yea, you might see a video for this too
