Hope did one single, produced by Warren Kendrick (the Litter, the Electras, the Paisleys) for his Peace label. They were pleasing, if not too remarkable, gentle pop-rock songs with a folky feel and a touch of orchestration, emphasizing singer John Tuttle's high, almost effeminate voice. The other three members of Hope had been in the Castaways, the Minneapolis band famous for their one-shot garage-pop hit "Liar, Liar" in 1965. Both songs from the Hope single, "Of Times You Can See" and "Greenhouse," are on the Arf! Arf! compilation The Scotty Story, which a**embles 30 tracks that Kendrick produced for his labels. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide
